Many aspirants who would like to start their career in the world of quality and process excellence may have heard people talking about Lean Six Sigma and would be interested to know about it

At the outset, let us understand what is Lean Six Sigma?

According to a study, Lean and Six Sigma are two of the world’s most renowned and most practiced continuous improvement methodologies. Lean and Six Sigma are two different continuous Improvement methodologies that rely on a collaborative team effort to improve performance by means of systematic working. Together Lean and Six Sigma provide more leverage with their tools and techniques which help reduce both waste and variation.

What I infer is that in order to successfully implement Lean Six Sigma, we should first understand the concepts, tools, and techniques of each methodology and create strategies to implement it successfully for the betterment of the World of Quality.

To invest in the knowledge we need to first find an Establishments that believes in quality and delivers the best knowledge to the interested professionals. As a professional, I was keen to find this place.

I did some research called up various establishments some with big names and fame and some not-so-famous ones. I got to speak to many people, some were keen to just fix the deal by offering discounts, some definitely had reputation and charm, some famous Professors or Trainers and so on.

I shortlisted on a few institutes and made a list of the USPs and value adds of each and then finally zeroed into NIQC International.

There were positives and negatives and I was keen on what is beneficial to me and what mattered to me which I have jotted down.

Why I Joined NIQC:

1)           The approach from the person who called me, they were keen to understand my requirement and then pitch in their suggestions as to what program I should pick and why.

2)           The subject matter expertise displayed in the first conversation, wherein they were able to resolve many of my queries compared to some organizations who offered me a call back from the experts.

3)           The Duration of the course was definitely better comparatively which gave me more time to study and understand the concepts.

4)           Other Value adds like the Re-Training Option, Simulated Projects alongside training and project review, the Leadership Grooming Sessions to improve our leadership and personality. Post-training project assistance, the Alumni group, Opportunity to showcase and win project awards in their Annual Business Excellence Award Event, etc.

I would like to tell people who are seriously interested to be part of the quality arena to take it up sincerely and make the right investment in knowledge which will definitely bring you better gains.

To conclude it’s the knowledge that brings you success more than the certification alone.

I am glad that My Quest for the Right Place to Invest in Knowledge ended well and I found the right place to invest in my knowledge. Did you?
